I really like the “Grandma’s All Occasion Sugar Cookies” from Dorie Greenspan. I have no idea how I came upon this recipe, but any recipe title with the words “grandma and cookie” in it HAS to be GOOD! These cookies taste YUMMY and they still hold their shape well.
GRANDMA’S ALL-OCCASION SUGAR COOKIES From Dorie Greenspan.
Makes about 50 cookies (depending on diameter)
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon double-acting baking powder
1 stick plus 2 tablespoons (10 tablespoons; 5 ounces) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 large egg yolk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Sugar or cinnamon-sugar, for dusting (optional)
